Message Boards

flux Message Boards are a great way to get the conversation started on your community. A "Discussions" page is created by default at community creation, and as the Admin, you can modify this page and its content to make it contextual to your community.

Discussion Categories

The first thing you will want to do in order to customize your Discussion Boards is create your own Discussion Categories:

• Click on "Community Manager" from the Quickmenu dropdown.
• Click on "Manage Categories" under the "Customize" column.
• Click "Discussion Threads" in the left nav.
• Click "Add Category" to add a new Discussion category.

Admin Controls

As the community Admin, you have a few options in Discussion topics that your regular members don't see:

• Delete - Click this button to delete a topic entirely.
• Lock - Click this button to close the topic from future responses while leaving it visible on your site.
• Make Sticky - Click this to make the topic remain at the top of the list no matter how the list is sorted.
• Move To (category) - Choose a new category to move the topic into.
