Flux Upload Methods

Overview flux supports a number of different upload methods, through various on/off site access points.
Upload to Community Content Categories
- Entrance points
Community Hosted Pages / flux Modules - Users are presented with "upload [content]" controls from various content modules across flux hosted pages. These modules and upload links appear by default on community video / photo landing pages and content category pages vh1.com: http://community.vh1.com/Content/Video/VideoResults.aspx jackassworld.com: http://community.jackassworld.com/Content/Picture/PictureResults.aspx?category=22838
- Note - Content modules with upload links can be added to other flux hosted Page Builder Tool pages via the Module Editor tool
Direct URL - The community content upload page can be linked to directly Videos: http://\[Community_URL\]/Content/Video/AddVideo.aspx Photos: http://\[Community_URL\]/Content/Picture/AddPhoto.aspx Upload Widget - the upload widget can be configured to present the same category drop down list as the flux hosted community content upload page.

- Category Configuration Options
Users are presented with a drop down list of community categories to upload into. The Community Admin can control which community categories are presented in this list to Regular Community Members. Content must be assigned to at least one, but no more than three, community categories Community Admins are presented with all community categories. Admins can assign content to an unlimited number of categories More information on category management can be found here: Managing Content Categories

Note - that the content is still owned by the Community, but is uncategorized by default

The Community Admin can control which community categories are presented in this list to Regular Community Members. - Category Configuration Options
Content is uncategorized, but still owned by the community on which the upload occurred Users may not categorize this content upon initial upload. They may later categorize the content by editing the content metadata via the 'edit details' link on the content detail page Labels parameters Labels
