Community Settings
From Flux Developer Portal
To access community settings, click on the "Community Manager" link in your "More" dropdown menu, then click "Edit Community Settings" from the Community Manager.

Basic Information
Change your site's basic information. This includes:
- Community Name
- Adding an external URL
- Changing your email address and password
- Adding your site's description.
Thumbnails & Logos
Add or change virtually all your sites logos, including video watermarks.
Sign Up Settings
Change the minimum sign up age of your community. Enable or Disable Captcha at sign up. Choose the option to require email validation. Include alternative genders at sign up. Require profile url and add a custom sign up url.
Content Rating Options
From here you can choose the rating type for content posted to your community:
- Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down
- Thumbs Up Only
- Five-Star
If you already have votes collected in this community using the Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down rating you won't lose those votes if you change it, but they will not show, and all votes will be set to zero. If you want to change it back, flux will restore all your old voting data.
Opt-In Settings
The opt-ins you create here will be visible the sign up page. To use this feature..
- Click "Add Opt-In" button to add a new Opt-In. A new item will appear at the bottom of the list.
- Enter a name in the "Name" textbox. This name will uniquely identify your opt-in but will not appear on the sign up page.
- Enter a description of your opt-in in "Checkbox Label Text" textbox. This text will appear on the sign up page.
- Click "Disable" if you want to hide an opt-in from the list on the signup page.
- Click "Enable" to display it again.
Please note that you have to add fml tag <fx:optins/>, manually into the SignUp module.
Group Options
You can specify who can create groups on your Community? The options are Admins Only or Any Community Member. You can also add a default group logo and banner
Content Discovery Options
You can enable Content Discovery notifications. If enabled, daily summaries of content discovery activity will be delivered to the email address. You can also choose to have daily updates sent to you email only if there is content that failed to be discovered.
Other Advanced Options
These options include
- Switching to basic upload
- Suppress community listing (Community is not listed in community lists or activity feeds. Use this to prevent a community being exposed to other flux users while it's still in development)
- Set as beta community & expiration date
